Social Single Sign-On

New feature

  • Users can now easily sign up or log in to their Genymotion SaaS accounts using their Google or GitHub credentials. This feature simplifies the authentication process and enhances user experience by allowing quick and secure access to our platform without the need to remember another password.

Android 14 stable & Biometrics Widget

New Features

  • Android 14.0 final image released.
  • A new Biometrics Widget is now available with our latest updates for both Android 13 and Android 14 (version 3.2.0 images).
    This widget allows users to emulate biometric authentication methods such as fingerprint.

gmsaas 1.11.0

gmsaas 1.11.0 is out: this version is now compatible with Python 3.12.

New features:

  • Added gmsaas doctor command (a way to quickly check if gmsaas is well configured).

Fixed:

  • Fix Python 3.12 compatibility.

Run pip3 install [--user] --upgrade gmsaas to update

API Tokens

This new release allows users to generate and manage API Tokens.

New features

  • Users can generate personal API tokens and use them as authentication token in gmsaas CLI or Public HTTP API.
  • Users can revoke their API tokens at any time.
  • Users can track the last usage of their API tokens.

gmsaas 1.10.0

gmsaas 1.10.0 is out, this version is compatible with Genymotion API Token.

New features:

  • Added gmsaas auth token <token> command (use API Token for authentication).
  • Added gmsaas auth reset command (clear API Token from cache).
  • Read GENYMOTION_API_TOKEN environment variable for authentication.

Changed:

  • Marked gmsaas auth login <email> command as deprecated.
  • Marked gmsaas auth logout command as deprecated.
  • Marked gmsaas auth whoami command as deprecated.

Fixed:

  • Improved real-time instance state update reliability.

Run pip3 install [--user] --upgrade gmsaas to update

Android 14 beta image for Genymotion SaaS

Android 14.0 beta image for Genymotion SaaS has been released! Updates and fixes will be released as soon as they are available.

Known issues

The following features are not available yet, or don’t function properly:

  • When starting the messaging app, a warning popup related to the app version is triggered.
  • Bluetooth is not working.
  • Charging status is not updating correctly in the battery widget.

How to get a quote for multiple Business Licenses?

  1. You need a Genymotion Desktop account. If you haven’t one yet, you can create it here.
  2. After creation and activation, or if you already have an account, follow this link.
  3. Add the number of desired licenses to your shopping cart and click “Continue to Billing”
  4. Add a shipping address, or select one if you already created one.
  5.  In the next page, click “Get a quote”:
    Payment details
  6. A quote will be automatically generated in PDF format.

Personal Use - Free

Genymotion Desktop for personal use is not suitable for trial or POC: you will not get any assistance and some features will be disabled. If you have already selected “personal use” and wish to get a trial license, please contact our Sales at [email protected].

Technical support is not available with Genymotion Desktop free edition for personal use. For more details, please refer to Genymotion conditions of use (Personal Use).

The following features are not available in personal use mode:

  • Latest available Android version
  • Quick boot
  • Camera and Media injection widgets
  • Network profiles
  • gmtool full commands
  • GPS route simulation

Follow these steps to get Genymotion Desktop and activate personal use mode:

  1. Go to the Download page and get the latest version for your system.
  2. Follow the instructions from Genymotion Desktop quickstart guide to install Genymotion Desktop.
  3. Launch Genymotion and click CREATE to create an account. You should receive an activation email within an hour. If not, make sure to check your spam.
  4. After activating your account, return to Genymotion and log in with your credentials.
  5. Select personal use when prompted.
  6. Read Genymotion Desktop quickstart guide carefully to setup Genymotion for your needs.

Indie Plan Application Form

This plan is strictly reserved to individual workers (freelancers, self-employed).

Educational Plan Application Form

The Educational plan is restricted to:

  • schools, teachers or students who wish to use Genymotion Desktop for tuition
  • students who wish to use Genymotion Desktop for a school project

It is subject to valid proof (student card, teacher card, etc.)
