Android 14.0 beta image for Genymotion Desktop has been released! Updates and fixes will be released as soon as they are available.

Please note that this image is only available with a paying license.

Bluetooth is not working.

  • Added Biometrics widget, able to pass fingerprint authentication.
  • Added the ability to disable Quickboot with QEMU.
  • Android camera inputs are persistent after reboot of virtual devices.
  • Added -n option to genyshell, allowing you to specify the default virtual device to use.

  • QEMU is now the default hypervisor on Linux and macOS.
  • Improved QEMU capabilities by using host CPU.

Android 12.1

Android 12.1 is available for Genymotion Desktop on both x86_64 (PC/Mac Intel) and aarch64 (Mac M1/M2) architectures now.

Other

Android 9.0, 10.0 and 12.0 have been updated.

New Features

Emulated Bluetooth stack

An emulated Bluetooth stack is now available starting from Android 10.0: Virtual devices now declare their Bluetooth capability, and emulate Bluetooth beacon detection.

Other bug fixes and improvements

  • Android 11.0 arm64, 12.0 and higher: VPN applications no longer break the virtual devices upon activation.
  • Android 9.0, 10.0, 11.0: The camera emulation stack has been improved for better performance and stability.
  • Android 10.0 and higher: Add 5G to mobile network profiles.
  • Android 11.0 and higher: When wifi is activated, the mobile network interface state is now properly propagated to the player.
  • Android 9.0 and higher:
    • Default Sim operator name is now set to “T-Mobile”.
    • Mobile signal strength is now properly initialized according to current configuration.
    • When deactivating network QoS, the network type is no longer modified.

Genymotion Desktop for personal use is not suitable for trial or POC: you will not get any assistance and some features will be disabled. If you have already selected “personal use” and wish to get a trial license, please contact our Sales at [email protected].

Technical support is not available with Genymotion Desktop free edition for personal use. For more details, please refer to Genymotion conditions of use (Personal Use).

Follow these steps to get Genymotion Desktop and activate personal use mode:

  1. Go to the Download page and get the latest version for your system.
  2. Follow the instructions from Genymotion Desktop quickstart guide to install Genymotion Desktop.
  3. Launch Genymotion and click CREATE to create an account. You should receive an activation email within an hour. If not, make sure to check your spam.
  4. After activating your account, return to Genymotion and log in with your credentials.
  5. Select personal use when prompted.
  6. Read Genymotion Desktop quickstart guide carefully to setup Genymotion for your needs.
